Our Friday Night

Abigail goes to the best school. Every quarter they have a family night and last night it was a "Japanese Art Festival". They had different booths set up all over with different art projects the kids tcould do. They had origami, ranku (pottery), fans, bamboo hats, head banks (kanku sp?), fish printing, etc. For the littest ones they had Mtini Mt Fujii slides and a koi fish pond. They also had face painting, and a cute game with chop sticks to pick up as many gumi bears as you can and place them in a cup. Abigail was in the kimono fashion show wearing the kimono her aunt Terri gave her. The teachesrs for each grade wore blow up sumo suits and had a wresting match against each other. The evening ended with Tanko(sp) drums. We had a great time and didn't get home until almost 10pm.
