This August our family went on our 1st camping trip. We went to Bear Lake with my sister and niece and had a fun and chilly time. During the day it was in the mid to high 70's but at night is dropped to the 40's and we chattered through it. The lake is blue and beautiful..similar blue to Tahoe. The kids had a fantastic time digging for shells and wading in the water. We had smores both nights huddled around our fire. There is nothing that says camping like burnt marshmallow, chocolate and graham cracker! This will probably become a yearly summer tradition for us.
