Life has a funny way of taking us away from our intentions. All summer I had intended to blog. Then School start and I was going to blog about the 1st days of school. All four birthdays came the 1st week of October and I was going to post a blog. Then Halloween came and I was going to blog about Trick or treating and cute costumes. Now Thanksgiving is upon us and we will be moving (again) the 1st week of December and I have to stop and catch my breath and say "were the heck is life taking me!lol"
This summer we spent a lot of time at the pool. The three older kids all had lessons and Abigail is swimming like a fish. The pool is also where we all caught Crypto Sporidium a parasite that last the month of August. It was so bad that the pools were shut down for a few days and the Health Dept deemed know one under 5 could go in the water. However, Abby and Matt are continuing with Saturday lessons.
I got memberships at the Zoo, Aquarium, and Childrens Musuem. We choose 2 activities a week. I have to say my kids LOVE the discovery museum. Everything is hands on and their size. For the older children there are science and media centers which are also hands on.
For Abigail the summer highlight was a 2 week visit at grandma's and grandpa's house where she was treated like a princess. She made it home in time for fairy days where we learned to make fairy gardens and flower mazes. We even blow fairy dust!
