Christmas is almost here

Well we've moved into our new home and have almost finished unpacking...so it's not suprising that December crept on me. We have quite a few traditions that we have for December and I will have to modify a few this year. We did see Santa and on the drive Matthew kept telling me that he wanted a nintendo dsi. (Keep in mind we barely got gameboy advaces this past fall to help me keep my sanity on the 80miles aday I was driving until we moved). I told Matthew no electronics (I'm thinking Santa will bring things to keep us busy out doors...sleighs, plasma cars, etc). Matthew got very belligrent and was quite put out with the no asking Santa for electronics. Our turn finally came, and Abigail very primly asked for a pair of ballet shoes (apparently she remembered her dad's discussion about those in need, our family money jar to pass to help another family have a nice Christmas, etc)David asked for an Elmo phone. (not quite sure why he is obessed with an elmo phone, when he won't set through Seasame Street, ask him what he wants for Christmas since October and this is his answer:>) Matthew was up next and looking at me with disgust ask Santa for "army stuff" so he and his brothers can play army games. Thomas was last and he very innocently asked Santa for a NINTENDO DSI, apparently the electronic moratorium was not for his benefit lol! I really tried not to laugh when he announced what he wanted...Matthew was furious and promptly told Thomas that mom has the 800# to Santa's elves and she will tell them no electronics!
