Our Crazy December

We moved the 1st weekend in December and I discovered that h_ll is moving during a snowstorm with 4 sick kids. We survived and somehow Christmas snuck up on us. My sister went shopping for me on black Friday and I finally saw my Christmas stash on Dec 23rd. She did an awesome job I only had to exchange a couple of things. I thought I'd get a jump on the the Christmas Eve crowd and go at 1:30am. Walmart had lines! Is that crazy or what! We had a wonderful day. My family started a new tradition a couple of years ago. We have a family party on the 23rd and then we meet up again Christmas afternoon for sledding. Matthew and Rebekah had us all over and we had really yummy Thai food and a gift exchange. We played a couple of games including "are you smarter than a 5th grader" I am happy to say my husband who teaches 5th grade did really well. The rest of us were hit and miss. My parents came up for Christmas and it's always a joy to see them with their grandkids. Abigail and Matthew are old enough that they are gaining fond memories of my folks. I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas!
